Problem definition: The research problem identified in this study is the whether pay is the major factor of job satisfaction among Bangladeshi bankers. Pay does not just include the salary that an individual is getting from his / her job; rather pay includes all pays and emoluments including the short term and long term fringe benefits. Banking industry has grown recently in Bangladesh and a lot of humans are associated with this industry. The study would not have been meaningful if the focus was only on a single bank or on various banks employees. An endeavor will be made to do a comparative analysis of employees of ten different leading commercial banks in Bangladesh. This comparative analysis implied the level of job satisfaction and the factors of job satisfaction of employees in these banks. 4. Research Question: All the employees working in an organization experience in various level of job satisfaction. This job satisfaction can be caused by several factors. Such as promotion, pay working condition and the work itself, etc. Job satisfaction has a great impact on the performance.
